Claytonia/Miners Lettuce

Winter purslane, Claytonia perfoliata, is sometimes called miner's lettuce, and is typically used in winter salads. One of the hardiest salad crops available, it has heart-shaped, slightly succulent leaves, with a mild flavour. Both the leaves and flowering shoots can be eaten. Wash before use.
